Getting Started with Private App Distribution | AppDeploy for Apple Business

Set up an AppDeploy workspace, add private iOS apps, connect Apple Business workflows, and share a branded app portal with employees.

Set up your workspace

After registration, verify your email and sign in to AppDeploy.

Open Settings to set your organisation display name, upload your logo, and confirm the branded employee portal URL you will share internally.

Add your first app

Business workspaces are iOS-first and Enterprise workspaces can also add Android app releases.

For iOS, either connect Apple Business for Apps and Books token sync or upload redemption codes when your rollout still depends on code-based delivery.

  • Connect Apple Business before syncing purchased iOS apps
  • Enable Directory Sync on paid Business or Enterprise workspaces when Managed Apple ID mapping needs to scale
  • Upload Android APK releases directly on Enterprise workspaces
  • Add app icons and release details so the employee portal feels polished and trustworthy

Share with employees

Your branded portal becomes the single starting point for private app access.

Employees can open the portal, follow install guidance, and use Managed Apple ID delivery or redemption-code flows without hunting through scattered instructions.

Invite your team

Invite admins and internal stakeholders from User Management so app operations do not sit with one person.

Role-based access keeps release management, reporting, and settings changes appropriately controlled.

Keep rollout momentum

Use the Apple Business guide and Excel upload guide for the two most common iOS rollout paths.

Once the first app is live, expand into release operations, employee onboarding, and app-user access management from the same workspace.
