Apple Business Redemption Code Upload Guide | AppDeploy for Apple Business
Use the AppDeploy Excel upload guide to import Apple Business redemption codes, manage iOS app releases, and track remaining install codes.
When to use Excel upload
Excel upload is for redemption-code workflows where your organisation still distributes iOS apps through Apple Business redemption codes instead of licence assignment.
Each redemption code is a one-time-use path into the App Store for the employee who needs the app.
Prepare the file
Export redemption codes from Apple Business as an .xls or .xlsx file and keep the original column headers intact.
AppDeploy detects the app name, version, and code values automatically so you do not have to reshape the spreadsheet manually.
- Do not remove or edit the exported code values
- Upload a fresh export when adding more codes to an existing release
- AppDeploy merges new codes without duplicating ones already stored
Upload in AppDeploy
Open Applications, choose the iOS release flow, and upload the spreadsheet in the redemption code section.
Once you confirm the detected app name and version, the codes are available immediately on the employee-facing distribution page.
Track availability
Each employee install consumes one code and reduces the remaining pool for that release.
When availability gets low, export a new batch from Apple Business and upload it again so the rollout keeps moving.
