1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how AppDeploy by ScotiTech uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar browser technologies across our public website, account journeys, and hosted product. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Your choices
When no current choice is stored, AppDeploy asks whether you want to:
- use necessary storage only
- allow optional analytics
- review the settings before deciding
Optional analytics is off until you actively allow it. Choosing necessary storage only does not limit access to the public website or the core product. Your choice is remembered for up to six months, after which we ask again. You can change it sooner through Cookie Settings in the footer.
3. What we use
Necessary browser storage
Necessary storage supports functions you request, including secure sign-in, workspace access, language and interface preferences, registration journeys, and remembering your privacy choice. It is not used for advertising.
Optional analytics
Optional analytics (PostHog EU) is not switched on today, so nothing is loaded or sent even if you allow analytics. If we switch it on, it will not run for anyone who has not allowed it: AppDeploy will then load PostHog and send page views and selected product events to its EU service, to help us understand which journeys work and where the product needs improvement.
When it runs, PostHog uses pseudonymous identifiers stored in your browser. Automatic click capture and session recording are disabled. We do not send analytics events before you consent.
AppDeploy does not currently use advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking technologies.

PostHog controls the names of its project-specific storage entries, so those names may change when the provider updates its software.
5. Changing or withdrawing consent
Select Cookie Settings in the footer at any time. If you disable analytics, AppDeploy stops analytics capture and removes PostHog's persisted analytics state from the browser.
You can also clear or block storage through your browser. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in, registration, preferences, or other requested features from working correctly.
